The entire process—from steel strip uncoiling, leveling, and corrugating to spiral interlocking and fixed-length cutting—is fully automated.
The steel strip utilizes a spiral interlocking seam process, ensuring a tight seal; the machine can produce circular corrugated pipes with various internal diameters.

This is specialized processing equipment for manufacturing the tubing used in post-tensioned prestressed concrete construction. It continuously rolls, presses, and interlocks galvanized steel strip to produce metal spiral corrugated ducts. These ducts are embedded in concrete to serve as channels for threading steel strands and for subsequent grouting; the machine is the core equipment for forming these prestressed ducts.
Front-end steel strip decoiler (blue wheel rack in the foreground): Supports the coil of galvanized steel strip and feeds the raw material into the main unit at a constant speed.
Multi-roller leveling mechanism (black multi-roller housing on the right): Multiple sets of rollers flatten and straighten the coiled steel strip, eliminating warping or waviness to ensure precision in the subsequent interlocking process.
Forming head for rolling, pressing, and interlocking (black central station): Bends the steel strip into a corrugated profile, then spirally winds and interlocks the edges to continuously form the corrugated duct.
End-cutting mechanism (component with the grinding wheel guard on the left): Automatically cuts the formed duct to the preset length using an abrasive wheel, producing finished ducts of specific lengths.
Integrated main unit cabinet: Houses the drive and electrical control systems, centrally integrating all process modules.
The entire workflow—from decoiling, leveling, and corrugating to spiral interlocking and fixed-length cutting—is automated. There is no need for multiple machines to handle separate processing stages; a single unit produces the metal corrugated ducts required for prestressed construction, ensuring high production efficiency.
The process utilizes a spiral interlocking seam technique, resulting in high hoop stiffness that prevents the duct from collapsing or deforming under concrete pouring pressure. The tight interlocking seam prevents cement slurry from seeping into the duct and causing blockages, thereby meeting protection requirements for prestressed ducts. By changing the forming molds, the machine can produce circular corrugated ducts with various internal diameters.
Corrugated ducts can be fabricated on-site or nearby to the exact lengths required, thereby reducing losses associated with long-distance transport and minimizing lead times for custom orders; alternatively, they can be prefabricated in batches at rebar processing plants.
Components such as leveling/forming rollers, interlocking molds, and cutting wheels are replaceable wear parts; routine maintenance is simple—requiring only lubrication of the drive system and periodic replacement of cutting discs—making upkeep easy even in construction site environments.
