Mono-Strand Anchor

Category

The wedge-based self-locking force is stable, and anchorage slip is minimal.

The anchor cup is made of alloy steel with a galvanized passivation finish, ensuring resistance to the humid conditions of construction sites.

The wedges undergo quenching and tempering; the high-hardness serrations on the inner surface securely grip the outer layer of the steel strands.

The retaining clip is made of spring steel, offering durable elasticity that maintains the wedges in a pre-tightened state over the long term.

Widely used for edge-span stressing of small- to mid-span bridges, transverse deck prestressing, wet joints of continuous box girders and mono-strand stressing in precast yards. Also suited to tunnel linings, slope anchor reinforcement and wind-power foundation ring beams.

1. Structural Component Introduction

Gold Anchor Sleeve (Anchor Cup): This core part adopts an integral cylindrical structure with a tapered inner hole. As the primary load-bearing structure of the whole anchor fastening system, it bears all the tension load of the steel strand during operation. The surface is treated with hot-dip galvanizing passivation, which can effectively resist oxidation and rust, adapting to long-term outdoor and wet construction conditions.
Tapered Limiting Sleeve: Installed on the left side of the anchor assembly, this black tapered structural part plays two key roles in construction. On one hand, it can restrict the backward retraction range of the clamping wedges to avoid excessive displacement and positioning deviation; on the other hand, it provides accurate guiding for steel strand penetration, ensuring the strand is installed in place smoothly and correctly.
Split Double-piece Wedge: It is composed of two arc-shaped clamping parts with anti-slip tooth lines on the inner wall. Relying on the mechanical wedging principle formed by the tapered fit, the two wedges can closely cling to the outer surface of the steel strand. When the strand is under tension and retracts slightly, the wedging force will increase synchronously to realize firm clamping and locking of the strand.
Elastic Circlip (Thin Circular Spring Ring): The main function of this accessory is pre-fixing. Before the steel strand is threaded and tensioned, it can bind the two split wedges tightly to prevent loose separation, falling off and dislocation during handling, transportation and pre-installation, which effectively avoids assembly errors and improves on-site construction efficiency.

2. Core Product Advantages and Performance Characteristics

2.1 Anchoring Structure and Working Performance

The product adopts a mature split double-piece wedge structure. Different from the integrated wedge design, the split structure can open and close freely during construction, greatly reducing the difficulty of steel strand threading and improving the speed of on-site installation. In actual tension operation, the self-locking wedging force is stable and reliable. The more the steel strand is stressed and retracted, the tighter the wedge clamps, which effectively controls the anchoring slip value and ensures the overall anchoring accuracy of the project.
All structural parts of the anchor are designed in a modular and detachable way, with strong replaceability. In the long-term use process, if individual wedges are worn, deformed or failed, they can be replaced separately without scrapping the entire anchor assembly. This targeted replacement mode greatly reduces the later maintenance cost and equipment loss of engineering projects.
The inner taper of the anchor cup and the outer taper of the matching wedges are precisely machined and polished, with a high fitting degree. This precise matching structure can make the tension load evenly distributed on the contact surface, avoid local stress concentration, and prevent wedge cracking, deformation and sudden anchoring failure caused by uneven stress, ensuring the stability and safety of the anchoring system.

2.2 Material Quality and Anti-corrosion Performance

The anchor cup is made of high-quality alloy steel with stable mechanical properties. After galvanizing and passivation composite surface treatment, it has excellent moisture-proof and anti-corrosion ability. It can adapt to harsh construction environments such as humid foundation pits, open-air slopes and rainy weather, and is fully applicable to long-term outdoor geotechnical anchoring projects.
The clamping wedges are processed through integral quenching and tempering heat treatment, with high overall hardness and good toughness. The dense anti-slip tooth lines on the inner wall have strong biting force on the surface of the steel strand, which can maintain a stable clamping state for a long time, effectively prevent strand sliding and displacement, and has outstanding anti-slip performance.
The elastic circlip is made of high-quality spring steel with stable and durable elastic performance. It will not experience elastic fatigue or failure after long-term repeated assembly and use, and can always maintain the pre-tightened positioning state of the wedges, ensuring the consistency of pre-installation effect every time.

2.3 On-site Construction Adaptability

This anchor abandons the traditional bulky square anchor bearing plate structure, with compact overall size and light weight. It does not require large installation operation space, and is very suitable for narrow construction scenarios such as tunnel interiors. It is widely applicable to prestressed construction operations of foundation pit anchor cables and slope anchor rods, with low requirements for on-site construction clearance and strong on-site adaptability.
The product is compatible with two mainstream specifications of prestressed steel strands in geotechnical engineering: 12.7mm and 15.2mm. It can meet the anchoring needs of most conventional geotechnical reinforcement and prestressing projects, with wide application compatibility and no need to replace anchors for conventional specification strands.
The detachable assembly structure brings great convenience to post-construction detection and secondary operation. After the initial tensioning construction, if the project needs re-tensioning detection, quality inspection and other work, the anchor can be disassembled quickly on site to check the matching and clamping state of the wedges, which is convenient for problem investigation and quality control.

2.4 Main Application Scenarios

This prestressed anchor is specially developed for geotechnical prestressed reinforcement projects. It is mainly used for prestressed tensioning and anchoring construction of slope stability reinforcement, foundation pit anchor cable support, and internal support system tensioning and fixing of foundation pits, and is widely used in municipal engineering, highway and railway slope protection, foundation pit enclosure and other engineering fields.
